Jin Chen CPA, PA has a job opening for an Accountant with the following job descriptions and job requirements.
Job Title: Accountant
Job Duties:
1. Assist Chinese clients to incorporate their businesses in the U.S. and establish suitable bank accounts and advise on accounting practice according to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and to design corporate accounting policies and procedures and supervise their accounting activities for the U.S. subsidiaries or branch offices including filing 941 federal quarterly payroll tax return, state and federal unemployment tax, worker’s compensation, and annual federal and state income tax returns 1120 as well as their individual tax return 1040;
2. Interview Chinese business clients’ financial projection in the U.S., and collect their financial data to prepare reports for senior accountant including profit and loss analysis, sales, and cash flow forecasting; and perform the same duties for American business clients investment activities in China relying on the United States-China Income Tax Convention;
3. Advise American clients on current Chinese law and regulation relating to favorable taxation and accounting practice on foreign investment, as well as China’s enterprise accounting principles that are deviated from international GAAP, and assist them to understand IRS’ International Practice Unit (IPU) in conjunction with an accounting practice in import tariff in China and its unique value-added taxation system for business operation;
4. Assist clients resolution of any accounting and internal control issues related to international accounting operations, and improve timeliness and accuracy of financial closing and reporting as well as maintain a repository of historical financial data.
Job Requirements:
1. Master’s Degree in Accounting from an educational institution in the United States or foreign equivalent;
2. Six (6) Months employment experience in the field of IRS International Practice Unit and US-China Income Tax Convention;
